I am a student who has attended Architectural School for two years. I changed majors to Civil Engineering, but I still want to be an architect. I aspire to go to grad school at a school like Cornell, MIT, Pratt, Columbia, Sci-Arc or Harvard. I've been desperately trying to keep with it. I already have some work in my portfolio (some models to add to it, visual exercises:3D and 2D(like Figure Ground), some drawings, and some digital renderings)), but I'm struggling some keeping my strength, and realizing that keeping up on my own is much harder than I thought. Also, I am trying to land an internship with an Architecture firm. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

would you rather work a job you hated but paid well, or worked a job that was truly your passion and what you dreamed of doing since you were 11, but didn't pay much at all? I want to be a author.....well i guess you guys can guess my predicament.

In early photographs from the 1830s, one often sees rather elderly people. I am curious about the oldest person to be seen in any photograph - what year is the farthest back in history reached by photography of people born in that year?

I am highly interested in learning about the history of interpretation of the Bible, but I'm not really sure where to start. I'm especially interested in learning how people have historically understood the book of Revelation, and how they have understood the thornier parts of the Bible, like those that seem to condone slavery, or that have strange laws like in Leviticus. I'm curious to know, for instance, how different people argued for or against slavery based on the Bible, and what different people thought the strange imagery in Revelation meant for their times. Does anyone know of any good introductory books that deal with this topic?

$1,000,000,000 or a sealed envelope that has an answer whether there's God or No God? What would you chose and why? Please I know some will say... I already know there's God, I will take $1,000,000,000. Remember, nothing is 100% guaranteed. ;)
