There was a theory that says that the famous "Für Elise" was mistranscribed by the discoverer of the piece Ludwig Nohl the title as "Für Elise" while it's originally named "Für Therese" after Therese Malfatti, whom Beethoven intended to marry in 1810 (the same year the piece was written) but she declined the proposal and married the Austrian nobleman and state official Wilhelm von Droßdik.

So the question is: Why did she declined him? Was it because of his deafness?

(NOTE: It's believed that the theorists created this theory after the uncertainness of his scholars and critics about who was Elise and why won't it be Therese the one who Ludwig loved in 1810.)

Anyway nobody can disagree about how sad was the piece and his relationship and how he managed to pour it into his music.

Peace

In theatre arts, my teachers scolded me about my physicality, the way I stand. They always tell me that I am only acting from the neck up. I'm not a heavy person, I'm just average so it isn't weight causing me to do that. What are some acting excersizes I can do to work on it? We are going to be working on that next semester, but I want to get a head start and impress them. Anyone have any tips for improving physicality?

I'm 17 now, and I have been taking ballet for about three months now, and seem to improving really fast. I'm already taking an intermediate class with my beginner's class. people keep saying I have talent, a good jump and nice lines, and I am beyond devoted. I am so obsessed I can't even concentrate in school because I want to dance instead. I practice EVERY day and stretch (I'm not very flexible, but getting better). Is there still a chance for me to become a pro? I know 17 is SUPER late, but It's beyond passion and Nureyev didn't start until he was 17.
