Caroline B. Cooney (a YA author) wrote a series of four books. They have been republished into paperback editions
Time Travelers vol. 1 (Both Sides of Time, Out of Time)
Time Travelers vol. 2 (For All Time, Prisoner of Time)

Another book you might enjoy is ENCHANTMENT by Orson Scott Card. It is a great retelling of sleeping beauty. It does involve time travel of sorts ( a bridge between times)

There are also some romance novels which feature time travel. I can't think of any offhand. But I know I've checked some out of the library. A search on Amazon yielded almost 300 books when I typed in time travel romance.

Lynn Kurland wrote a number of time travel romances. However they are not YA.My fav is her anthology 'Love came just in time'.

In The Gift of Christmas Past, a feline angel pulls her mistress back in time to a night long ago, where she finds her own true love...A quaint country inn becomes the haunting ground for The Three Wise Ghosts, a spirited trio of matchmakers who scare a freewheeling American and a single-minded British executive into love...A Scottish nobleman drifts off to sleep in a fourteenth-century dungeon, only to awaken in a twentieth-century Manhattan bridal salon, and the arms of a beautiful designer, in And the Groom Wore Tulle...(These stories are all part of the love came just in time anthology)

I'm giving the link where you can read the reviews of the rest of her books for yourself.

Second Glance by Piccoult is exactly the book you need. It has time travel and romance. Also, another book that I can really think of is Tryst by Elswyth Thane. It is an older book, written in the 1930s, but it is very easy to read, not stuffy. I read it when I was a teenager. It is about a girl who is boarding with her family in a house and stumbles on the locked bedroom of one of the sons of the family whose house she is boarding in. She falls in love with him and his spirit falls in love with her. It isnt' really time travel, but it's very romantic. You can find it on Amazon. Another romantic book is Summer of My German Solider, has absoltely nothing to do with time travel, but it's incredible and you seemed to like romantic books with maybe a bit of a historical bent.

"The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger is supposed to be really good :). I've never read it, but I plan to very soon. It's definitely got the time-traveling theme, as well as a very moving love story.

Check out Diana Gabaldon's Outlander Series. Time traveling with kilts - what could be better?
