Greetings !
I don't know if you have seen some of those "fantastic or fantasy worlds"... but the point is that I want to do one of these paintings. The problem is that I don't know how to draw a galaxy. I mean; I have seen that some artists do it with the computer or other kind of techinques. I'd like to know a simple one, maybe with acrilic or oil. Can somebody help me with this issue ? Could you give me a Tip or "instructions" so my painting looks real ?
Thanks and Good Luck !

Someone asked me this, and I thought it was an interesting question.

When you think about it, we have to be taught good manners, how to respect other people, and how to not be so selfish. Do you think we are still good people even if we were not taught these things?

I've read the Elizabeth Elliot books, including the story of her husband's death. I know of "In the Presence of my enemies." but wonder if you could recommend some other ones.
Please serious answers only! And no debates on Christianity or why you hate missionaries. And no, I will not be reading, "The Poisonwood Bible" or "Dr. America..." If I wanted to read that sort of thing, I'd go buy "The National Enquirer."

I don't stick to any particular genre - I like fiction and non-fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, thrillers, horror, who-done-its, history, biography.
My obsessions are the American Civil War, Tudor England, and Ireland, both history and folklore/myth.

This author argues the models of science and mathematics are self contradictory and paradoxical and as such are meaningless. The models may work but the models are are just like myths and science and mathematics nothing but examples of mythical thinking and prelogical primative thought. What do you think

I am reading the book "the Lee Girls" by Mary P. Coulling. Robert E. Lee seemed to really Love and care for his kids and wife. I am wondering why then when he went of to the civil war did he not take them with him or at least station some men to protect them? Why did he leave them so close to Washington DC ? I always assumed that he did not care to much about them but the opposite seems true.
He did tell them to move But it seemed they were on their own to wonder around.
I am just curios to the thinking process of that time period where a man in charge of an army could leave a bunch of "his" women wondering around the country side.

Look at wars.

Canada won the war of 1812
The US won the US-Mexican War
The North beat the South in the US Civil War
Russia beat Germany
England beat Germany
Germany beat France
England always beat France

Is there a pattern here?
