In her Harry Potter book series J. K. Rowling uses Latin words and phrases for most of the spells.
Does learning Latin in school (British children often do. US children usually do not) effect how you enjoy the books?
Does it make them seem less or more magical?
Make Harry’s school seem less or more exotic?

Besides the library catalog. I can't find anything at the library. I have to do a research paper on Shel Silverstein, and I'm only allowed to use one internet source. Do you know where I could find the titles of some books that have to do with him?

I am currently involved in a court case, where the main evidence exhibit, is a photograph. The photo was taken at a distance of approximately 6 feet and the camera flash was used. What I need to know [from photography experts] is whether or not the light from the flash would prevent dark holes from being visible in a material that is white in colour? I know that you can get glare from a reflective surface, but would the flash effect things with regard to the circumstance that I have just mentioned.

next week in english class, i have to recite a poem infront of both level 3 and 4 english classes and i'm in level 3 so i'm pretty stressed about it. i'm 14 and i need a poem not too long (not longer than 20 lines) that isn't too childish nor too complicated. examples of poets that i like are edgar allen poe, oscar wild and jim morrison so if you could find a poem with the same style as theirs (a bit) it would really help me! or if you find one of theirs that are good and short too. or another poet - whatever! does anyone have any suggestions please? thanks! Bush's term is not over, so there is no way to make a fair historical assesment of his Presidency. I want to know where the bar currently sits as far as Bad US Presidents goes.

In example, the americans called the germans "krauts" during WWII, the english and british called the americans "yankees" during the civil war. i'd like to know what all of the names people have come up with, during what time period, or historical event, and why.
