At the end of the book there are two Chinese naval investigators that come to talk to Pi in the hospital after he is lands in Mexico. Pi tells them the story of being on the boat with the animals. However, the story Pi tells does not match with what data they have. So Pi tells them the actual story which is the Orange Juice (the monkey) represents his mother, the hyhena is a shipmate, and the tiger is Pi. The hyhena kills the monkey and, later, the tiger kills the monkey.
But, as Pi points out, what difference does it make which story they report? Pi's family is dead, everyone on board the ship is dead, and Pi is the only survivor. Nothing is going to change that. So the investigators can report the horrible truth or they can report the fantastic story Pi has told them about being stranded on a life boat with a tiger for over 200 days. Why not report the fantastic story?- it doesn't make a difference one way or the other.

Well i think what happened was that Pi was in a recovery home and then he got asked to tell how he came there and then most of the story is about the things that he does and what he does with the tiger on the boat and the island, stuff, when he lands on the south american beach the tiger jumps off and is never seen again, then he is asked by somebody in the story to tell about the first few days he was on the boat. I really enjoyed it :-) i read it when i was in greece. was facinating.

The Cullen family throw a party for Bella and when she is opening a present and there is a drop of blood on her finger and Jasper goes crazy and Edward is in front of Bella protecting her. Then Bella and Edward stop talking for a while but still walk together and stuff but they just stop talking then Edward tells Bella that he is leave in Chapter 3 and then Bella starts to fall in love with Jacob and start hanging out with him and they go cliff diving and Alice thinks that Bella is committing suicide just to hear Edward's voice again! That is how far I am but the cliff diving my friend told me that I just go New Moon Yesterday! Hoped I helped!

Nobody knows.
That's how the book is supposed to be. Nobody really knows what happened, just that he somehow survived. You're supposed to decide what you think.
