I heard on a Radio 2 show a listener asking why WW2 bombers often reported hearing classical music on long flights. Unfortunately I didn't get to hear the answer. I imagine it's the mind playing tricks and connecting harmonies in the engine sound. But can anyone shed more light? Or even better, know of first hand accounts of this phenomenon?

I have the traditional 28-80 lense right now. I have money to invest in another. I thought about a zoom lense. What are the benefits? I do all types of photography, so it's hard to say what I take the most of. However, I would like one that would help me with indoor photography. I need more light indoors. I could buy an off camera flash or what would you suggest?

I know the rule (for 16mm film) of Lens divided by 10 multiplied by 2 = a close-up of your subject. Here's our plight: say you have a 50mm lens and your subject is 13 feet away. 10 feet is a close-up, how do you determine what you would call the framing of a shot of the subject 13 feet away? MCU, still a CU?, MS?

I’ve analyzed my personal belief system, which I have named Anti-Conscientious Vehicularism, and as a result have come to the conclusion that I can no longer in good conscience stop at stop signs or red lights. Don’t try to talk me out of it…I will NEVER change my mind. Everyone has their own belief system and has to determine what’s right for them independent of other people’s fascist control. If you don’t like my decision to ignore stop signs and red lights, keep it to yourself. It is MY truth and all other considerations be damned. You got a problem with it?…You don’t have to run stop signs! Just watch out for me when you’re driving…any accidents will be YOUR fault because you have now officially been notified of my beliefs and must make any and all modifications to your behavior to accommodate it. If you try to take me to court for causing an accident, I will win because there is no right or wrong…there is only what each individual wants to do.
Happy Driving! Happy Holidays!

What were the direct and long-term consequences for Germany of loosing World War I? Consider the political upheaval, the unwillingness of the German people to admit defeat, terms of the peace settlement, and economic hardships. Do you agree with a statement that World War I caused World War II? Explain your view.

I vaguely remember reading it as a kid, it´s about a young man and his family who lives in a house inhabited by the ghost of a young girl who died of influenza at the beginning of the 20th century. That´s all I remember, I also remember the character´s name was something like Bart or Art. I think it´s a book for teenagers or young adults. Also, I think the main character is the only one that can see and talk to the ghost.
