how would you compare the 1998 movie version of Romeo and Juliet to the actual play. costumes, changes to plot, music and setting and what effect these changes have?

Let's assume that's a yes.

I like for the movie solely for the purpose that the music helped express the moods and fate of the characters so well. The beauty and tragedy of their macabre dance is so lost on most youth these days. We read it in my English class when I was in tenth grade and I remember seeing all of these blank and confused faces. The movie, for all its faults, made those blank looks disappear. However, the theatre lover and the purist hates it. I know that seems strange but...I think it depends on how you view theatre and how willing you are to delve into shakesphere.
