How have the concentration camps described in detail by Jews in the 50s become extermination camps in the 90s?

After WWII Jewish survivors of the Holocaust described in great detail the trials and tribulations of the concentration camps overseen by the German military. Today the Jews say the camps were extermination camps. Why would the survivors have lied about camp inmates providing labor for the German war effort?

Which children's book should I get my God Son?

I want to a get book for my God Son, Alexander. He was born in September with a hole in his heart. He had to get surgery 3 days after he was born and will need heart surgery every few years until he is a grown adult. He’s the strongest baby I’ve ever known. I'm looking for a children's book that has a good message related to what he’s been though; something that talks about courage, being strong, something like that. Anyone have any suggestions?
