"A human being is the measure of all things. " What did Protagoras mean by this, how did the greeks put this concept into practice, or did they not?

He realized that everything people see and understand, they do only from the perspective of a human, and that we put our own filter on our understanding, partly from the fact that we are all biased, partly from the fact that we are just biological beings, and not made to understand things perfectly. I'm not really sure if you can put this into practice, but they did explore philosophy that concerned the nature of knowledge and truth, so I guess you could say they did.

I honestly don't know exactly what that's supposed to mean. So I can just take a guess. Hmmm......well it could mean that humans are the things that keep the world living. They can either help the world grow, or they can destroy it. The choice is always up to us. We are the things that have created everything we have today. We have to power to measure the things that happen in life. Not that we have control over everything, because thats not possible. But I think he means that we can meausre the power of things in our own life. And in other people's lives.

umm i think it means that if there is a lot of humans then there is less of everything eltse or the other way around?

i think its meant in human thought, that they have no limits and endless philosophy, human thought have endless roots of reasons
