yes...sometimes the enormity of it all overwhelms me. on a personal level it's different emotions and situations that spring up which are difficult to handle and make me feel small. on a wider scale, it's the sheer magnitude of all creation and the fact that there is so much still to be understood and imbibed. the realization that i am just a tiny speck, an almost non existent part of a vast and colossal life force makes me feel like life is too big for me to ever understand or handle. it's better to just go with the flow...

I may only be fourteen, but I certainly feel like this sometimes. When your young and in your teen years, theres sooo much peer pressure from friends, family, and whoever else. You always want to fit in, and be cool and have the latest things. I'm not like that, but a lot of people I know are. Theres just sooo many things going on, that sometimes life really does get to you. It doesnt help when a lot of things keep going wrong. I personally can say I've felt like this for a long time, because of some personal things going on at home. It's really hard sometimes to keep hope and hang on when you feel like life is just crushing you. When this happens, you probably feel like what an ant feels like. Getting squashed by the "big things" or whatever you want to call it. And sometimes it really is hard to deal with things when you feel like this. But the way I look at it, is that you should always keep hope a live. Even when things are really bad, just remember they're not as bad as it could be. You also have to remember that it's the simple things that matter in life, and that after the storm passes, the simple things still remain.

Sure. It's like that for everybody.

The trick that works for me is to try to focus on a small problem. Sometimes life is just slightly bigger than I can handle. If I can ignore the big problems and focus on a couple of small ones, then I have shrunk the problem slightly. Maybe the next time I look at the big problems, they'll fit in my idea of what I can handle.

Always. That's why you concentrate on what is relevant to you. Getting along with the guy at work is more important that thoughts of world peace. Fixing your car engine to produce fewer pollutants is more important than 'global warming' treaties. Being a good provider to your own family is more important than third world hunger problems. Consider what impact the actions you take will have on your immediate life, and those around you, and forget the rest. You can' t fix the world, or agonize about that fact. Take care of things at home.

Absolutely, yes! I get overwhelmed frequently and for many reasons. Prayer helps, as does looking on the bright side. I remind myself of how much I have to be grateful for. I have a really great life, I just have to remind myself sometimes..lol

Sometimes I feel like there are so many things to be experienced that I cannot possibly get around to it all, but sometimes it feels like there isn't enough to keep me busy in my daily life.

Oh, yes. The older you get, the worse it gets. If you look at the whole picture, it is even worse. Back up, slow up, and regroup. Sometimes lists help. Then organize the list--as to the biggest--most important--however you want. Good luck and don't forget to smile.

Dont think about it. Do you really care whether or not you are a significant impact on the entire world? Isn't it enough to impact maybe even just ONE person? and also to enjoy it while you are at it.
