Cast out from the sea
A sole survivor
Isolated in the desolate unknown
Having to start from a clean slate.

Resisting the wishes of parents
He had left for sea
Time and time again
Wandering without direction.

Now the only one that remains
From a devestating storm
Forced to rely on instinct
In order to survive.

But this time which seemed bleak
Lead him to religious conversion
Time to talk to God
And try to fulfill God's duty.

Time then passed on
Discoveries were daily events
However none would be more fearful
Than those who ate of flesh.

Another abandoned ship
Made its way into Crusoe's hands
And from it he took provisions
That would lead to his later deliverance.

The flesh eaters lost a victem
Whose name would later be Friday
A slave to Crusoe as it would seem
A companion after years of lonliness.

A makeshift boat
With two wanderers inside
It set off to find main land
A dream they had often.

A week or so elapsed
Salvation was finally theirs
Returning to an English home
Only to lead to more adventures.

Art is the result of the language of the artist. The audience to appreciate it cannot look for what "they relate too" since a true artist cannot be speaking your language only their own. If you choose to view art you need to open your mind to what the artist is trying to say, and sometimes (especially if the artist is successful), it is difficult since they are using images in a new way to make a new statement (but without words).

I'm looking for a book that they announced on yahoo about a week before it came out, but i can' remember the name, or the author. I only remember the author was male, had a distinct following, his surname began with a "p" and there was a picture of a youngman with green hair that accompanied the article.

I stared out the fogged up window at the pouring rain while twisting a lock of my straight dyed black hair around one long thin finger. I glanced over at the old, scraggly man sleeping to my right as an especially loud snore came from deep in his throat. I reached down and grabbed my slick, black video Ipod out of the faded olive green case I kept it in. The bus jolted as it came up to my stop. I got up out of my blue plastic seat, pushed the door open, and a surge of cold sharp raindrops blew into my face. I jumped off the last black and yellow step and landed on the wet gray concrete. I walked the regular 5 blocks to my big empty house while listening to “This Could Be Love” by The Alkaline Trio on my Ipod. I flipped up the hood on my black, oversize sweatshirt as the rain started to get heavier.

"Consider the fearful danger you are in; it is a great furnace of wrath, a wide and bottomless pit, full of the fire of wrath, that you are held over in the hand of that God, whose wrath is provoked and incensed as much against you, as against many of the damned in Hell. You hang by a slender thread, with the flames of divine wrath flashing about it, and ready every moment to singe it, and burn it asunder; and you have no interest in any mediator, and nothing to lay hold of to save yourself, nothing to keep off the flames of wrath, nothing of your own, nothing that you ever have done, nothing that you can do, to induce God to spare you.... The sovereign pleasure of God, for the present, stays his rough wind; otherwise it would come like a whirlwind, and you would be like the chaff of the summer threshing floor."

During ballet stretches that include placing one leg on the barre and repeatedly bending down and up, the knee on my support leg locks. It really hurts while doing the stretch. The foot on my support leg is always turned out but I think I just have too much pressure on the leg when lifting up from reaching towards the floor. My teacher hasn't noticed anything. I've been dancing since I was three but recently I took a four year break and am just coming back now. I don't remember having this problem when I was younger. Is this something that will go away with time? What can I do about it? I know I can't be good for my legs.

Can you summarize Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time book 'The Eye of the World'?

I've read the book twice now, over a period of 8 years or so, but I keep forgetting all the things that happen in it. I once read through to book 4, and I really want to read the whole series. If perhaps someone could summarize the first book for me, I can at least continue to the second again, haha.

The books are just so extensive with so many characters. Also I'm doing a second master's degree in literature (first in Comparative Literature, second in German), so with all I'm required to read, I'm starting to have trouble keeping things seperated in my mind. I'm already so scatterbrained haha.

I would greatly appreciate a good summary or a link to a summary. I remember everything that happens until they start traveling. After that I only have vague memories of wolves, a big royal city, and something with facing the dark one or something at the end after lots of training with Lan?
