Just signing it makes it yours legally. In the Electronic Realm, copyrighting it makes it so anyone that copies it will owe you for using it. Trying to collect on something that is only valuable to you is expensive.

If you are going to sell it as Art to make money, pay for the copyrights.

go to a photoediting software program and add TEXT somewhere on the photo your name. Assuming it has not yet been printed and is scanned or uploaded on your computer.

if not, sign it.
