I have other career choices in mind, but its really a broader question than me asking if I should be an artist.. I'm asking if anyone could really make it as an artist these days.

alot of famous artists were poor their entire lives.. and of course were discovered after they died, in the modern world I see artists at craft fairs not making a dime, and I see them trying to sell their work on ebay and not getting too much luck

! surely their some rich snobs to buy our work still.. right? are their any artists that are making a living these days..
thanks..

In my opinion, if you have a problem common sense says you should fix it. Even if it's a temporary problem, you should still try to fix it. But when arguing against suicide, some people think calling it "a permanent solution to a temporary problem" is a valid argument. If suicide really were a solution to a problem, that would be a reason to do it, not to not do it. Am I right or wrong?

When Lincoln was elected, South Carolina and eventually six other states seceded from the Union before Lincoln took office and four more after that. But Buchanan is often harshly criticized for not doing anything to prevent the war. (It was cited as the worst presidential mistake in all of US History, see http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-02-18-presidential-goofs_x.htm) He sat and waited for some hope of reconciliation. But what could he do? For one much of the standing army was out west controlling Indians, there was nothing in the Constitution tha said he could attack another state for secession (though Jackson did establish a precedent earlier, and got a hell of a lot of slack for it), and if he did attack, it would only start the Civil War earlier and it would make the North the aggressor. Still, people say he could have done better. What could he have done?

I am wanting to create some authentic looking wild west wanted posters for an art project.

I am wanting to just add a picture, be able to change the dollar value, and change the "villain" name and "crimes"

when printed out it must look authentic.

I have a pagent in 1 month and I want to do a dramatic presentation for my talent but I dont have a soliloquey that fits me. First of all I'm a teenager and I want something that makes me sound intellegent but not trying too hard. second I'm african american so something with a little attitude. Third I love history so historical background or even a monologue that is historic itself will do. Anyone know any websites ? Even if you think the material you have won't fit me still send it I'M DESPERATE.

I enjoy photographing old broken down automobiles and trucks as subjects. There is a house that has an old Ford truck parked in an open door shed behind the main house. Could the owner press charges if I walk on his property to take the shot? I thought about using a zoom lens, but I don't think I can get close enough.

I used to these types of books all the time. They have pictures across the two pages and then on the side of one of them is a long list of things that you have to find in the picture. For example, 6 balloons. Not those books that have a picture of what you have to find and there's only like 5 things. This is just a list (with words) of what you have to find. I've been looking for them for a few months and I can't seem to find them. Any help would be appreciated, I loved doing these.
