Was the Hundred Years' War really not a hundred years? I thought it lasted for about 116 years. If that is true, can someone tell me why its called "hundred years' war"?

For along time i considered being a hermit. I kinda am a hermit anyhow, just not a hardcore hremit, like the ones who live in caves in israil. I guess you would either find god, or enlightenment or you would go stir crazy. Maybe crazy then you find god. Anyhow people dissatisfy me greatly. Not that Im the greatest person but I try, I think so. Maybe you are a hermit, hows that working out?
