until something travels faster than the speed of light, it cannot travel back in time.
So even if the earth starts revolving in the opposite direction it won't be able to travel faster than light so no going back.
Only maps will be changed.
And i don't think its an foolish question, i believe its curiosity

Well since the Earth right now is moving at 1000's of miles per second (and therefore so are we) if it was to suddenly come to a complete stop and turned the other direction we would fly off into space and all be killed. Like when your sitting in a car that suddenly brakes very quickily, you lean foward a bit. But that's only at maybe 60 mph tops. Imagine the Earth suddenly stopping. Everyone would be flung far into space. But of course that is impossible and we as humans have many more pressing issues at hand then death by space.

The direction of Earth's rotation has nothing to do with the flow of time.

The Earth is insignificant. What happens here does not affect the properties of time in the universe.

As far as suddenly reversing direction goes: the abrupt change in angular momentum would be converted to kinetic energy in the form of heat - enough heat to disrupt the planet. The core might survive, since its rotation is not uniform to begin with. Most likely the end result would be the solid core surrounded by a cloud of gradually cooling debris.

You have got to be kidding!

First of all you should be asking this question in the Astronomy Forum. There they would tell you that it cannot happen.

Second of all they would kindly ridicule the idea that time would start moving backwards.

Finally they would ask you to try to improve your science education starting with a stiff course in physics. This is not a philosophical question. Simple Newtonian physics would provide all the answers you need.

The rotation of the earth is what makes gravity, so when it stopped we'd all fall off.

No, the sun would rise on the opposite side. Things would change a bit, take time to get use to, but time would not change.
