Sometimes the truth may not be what's best for one. The universe is a hard concept to grasp and what we may believe is the truth of the universe might be totally ridiculous assumptions.Everything we know for sure might fall under the category of delusion. And so i conclude that delusions are much easier to grasp. They are prettier and reassuring. I say delusions are the only things keeping all of humanity from falling into total chaos. If one seeks the truth a lot of pain awaits, but one will never see all of truth. So what's the use of trying?

Well of course I think we would all like to know as much about the universe as possible because at the moment we know very little. I don't think the theories scientists have come up with so far concerning the universe are "delusions" by any means. They may not be correct, but they are based on the laws of nature and certainly no one is hiding the true answeres from the rest of us.

People like their delusions it make them feel safe. They can go around believing that there is a force for good in the world or that there is something meaningful after we die, that people are essentially truthful and if they work hard they will get what they deserve.
Unfortunately there is only nature, in all its weird and wonderful shapes where people have no real control over their lives and life or death are both sides of the same coin.
We are born, we eat sleep and make babies then we die. If we are lucky we can delude ourselves into thinking we are happy or feel loved but its all just chemicals released in your brain.
Evolution is a cruel theory, it would be much nicer if you could have faith in a higher power however unlikely it is that one exists

I think reality is better, personally. However, for some people, the only way they can survive this world is to continue in the delusion. I've learned that no good can come of kicking their crutch out from under them. If they need it, let them keep it. Me, I'm much happier knowing the truth.

Each persons universe is defined by their own concept of what reality is. You can't say there is one particular "The Universe" for every person to grasp the same reality of.

Perhaps my delusion is how it really is.

in the first place can we grasp the universe in all it's immensity???
and how can we be sure that what we understand isn't just another layer of delusion.
can the "truth" be more than what we can bear??
this is something that each person must decide on his own.
what i personally think is that we need to grasp as much as we can, but delusions can have their place.
God bless,

The Universe is FACT, an issue defined rather narrowly in concepts, etc.
TRUTH is not necessarily FACT, but seemingly accepted by far more people who accept it, even if they don't GET IT.

Neither may have any answers in anyone individuals life time.

Oh, you know how it REALLY IS? How do you know if the delusion is truly that? What ensures happiness for the drones ensures the efficiency to which they work. To attemp to grasp knowledge is to feed your hands to the ravenous snake of time.

No....'how it really is' is often changed by those who understand that we lack the 'computing power or speed' to sense enough of 'how it really is' to deal with it, and so we must deal with the delusion of 'how we believe it is based on how it appearred to be just a while ago'.

Get it?

Good.

I have thought that there is a concept that we are all wallowing in:

GLOBAL DENIAL

Thsi denial is the fact that there is constant pain and difficulty, injustice and inequality, suffering and famine and we are fairly

POWERLESS

to do anything about it. But we do not even try much.

There is one solution: Jesus.

Having grasped the reality of Jesus, my life has changed and hope is present. Can't speak for you, but my 'delusions', if so they be according to your system of belief, support and sustain me. Thankyou.
