The rebellion by Spartacus would be the most famous one. He was a slave who was a gladiator in Roman times, and he and about 700 men rose up and freed themselves from the gladiatorial school. On his way north, thousands more joined him. He wanted to just go north and get as far away from Rome as possible, but his men wanted to pillage, instead. Roman legions were sent against him, but he defeated at least one, to the amazement of the Romans. Finally his army was defeated, though it is debated whether or not he survived. To teach all the other slaves a lesson, the Romans crucified the rebels and hung their bodies all along the Appian Way.

Nat Turner's Rebellion is perhaps the best known slave uprising in American history. It occurred in August of 1831 in Southampton County, Virginia. Turner traveled from house to house with about 50 slaves and freed blacks. Turner's orders were to kill all white people they encountered. They used knives, axes, and other blunt instruments so as to not make much noise and avoid alerting people as to their presence. Before being stopped by a white militia, Turner's band of rebels killed 55 white men, women, and children. Turner and 18 others were tried, convicted, and hanged.

there is no such thing as an "interesting" slave rebellion.
those were sad, sad times.
but of course, Nat Turner's rebellion caused a 'bit' of a kerfuffle.
