NO....the world is not fair, we don't not always bring on bad luck and we do not always deserve good luck. Sometimes we make decisions or take actions that result in good or bad luck but sometimes bad or good things just happen.

Of course they do not "deserve it." In the chaos of a random world, a tit for tat system of retribution dealt out by force beyond out control. Be it the trails and tribulations of Job or the non-reactive peace the Tao can endow on a soul in trial, no religion says that life is fair, or even supposed to be. Religion helps us deal with the unfairness of life because life is by definition unfair.
Take for an example, a family has a pet which had never harmed anyone. At what point is it fair for the pet to die?
How about this, at what point is it fair when a child dies?
Neither of these instances are in any way "fair" to those hurt by the loss.
If life was "fair" no pet or child would ever die. We cannot bestow immortality based on value, and it is good that we don't. Our own perception is not perfect however it is the only standard by which we can judge.
I could not borrow your filter of life experiences to judge a situation by, you could not borrow mine, ergo, neither of us will see anything exactly the same.
We judge "fair" through the filter of our own life experiences.
Therefore for us to expect the world to be fair, is to ask it to bend to your perceptions, none of us have that power.
By releasing the expectation of fairness we save our souls the feeling of betrayal brought forth by the failure of the world to live up to a definition of "fair" that we might view as the way should be.
Life can hurt
That is not fair
But if we never hurt, we would never grown, change, improve
All loss can make sense in the end
But karma is not a immediate thing
Life is a wave, ebbing and flowing up and down.
All we can do is catch it and ride

No, honestly this world isn't a fair place. Some people try and act like it is, when really it isn't. Thats what some people want. They want the perfect, ideal, fair society. But life isn't fair. And when it is, it sure will be a miricale. No I don't think when something bad happens to a person, that they deserve it. Even if they are the meanest person. To me no one should have to deserve something bad happening to them. And even when bad things do happen, who says bad things are always bad?

Absolutely! There are many County Fairs throughout the nation, and there have been several World's Fairs. On the other hand, I know that we don't live in a fare world; but then again, perhaps we do. Almost everything I encounter is neither great, or poor. Most of it is so-so, or fare.

hell no. Far from a fair world. Why is it that poor children have extreme potential, yet are born into a insufficient life? or that an innocent person walking in the street gets shot by a criminal. Or when the innocent get punished for crimes they did not commit, and even worse, when criminals get a better life than those doing no wrong.

GOD did NOT kill Heath Ledger. He doesn't work that way. He gives people free will to choose things. No one knows yet why Heath died. It could be accidental overdose. God did not go down and put drugs in Heath and kill Him. NO! I do not know why such a cool person died so young and it is awful. Life is not fair and no one said it is. It is a tragedy. It would make just as much NON-sense to say, "Why did Heath Ledger LIVE to be 27"? Who promised Him 27 years? NO one. God loves people and He loved Heath and He loves you. Don't be mad at the one who cares about your anger and pain right now. Do you see anyone else who cares that you are upset right now? God cares and I choose to care that you are upset. I am sad too. BUT, I have learned that God is good and I trust Him now. He has helped me in bad times and I love God very much. Why not turn TO God, instead of away from God now???

No way. Some people are born deformed. Did they even live long enough to hurt someone to deserve what happened to them? I think not!

Not all men and women are created equal but in my opinion you just do the best you can with what you've been given.

The world has never been fair and I highly doubt it ever will be. I know people in whom I can find no redeeming qualities yet good things happen to them on a frequent basis. I know others who are good, kind, loving & giving people that have bad things happen to them in what would seem to be more than their share.

in this world nothing is "fair", things just happens, it's just a matter of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
fair is what we make of it.
if some thing bad happens due to what we do then it is "deserved"- just rewards???
we must be responsible for our actions.
if it happens once or twice we can be sympathetic,
if it happens too often then it's a diffrerent matter .
God bless,
gabe
