yeah - just as there are some old laws which are considered out of date and get changed or removed altogether (e.g. miscegentation) there are areas where we need extra laws. The most obvious area being technology - internet, video surveilance, mobile phones with cameras, etc. Someone does something creepy (e.g. installs spy cameras in an apartment) and the lawmakers realise they can't touch them for some stupid technicality that the existing laws haven't forseen. So they need to be updated to meet the requirements of the world we live in today, not the one from 200 years ago.

A few selective laws maybe. Someday the Libertarian party will win if they can quit being so radical. When I hear some story about how the government and the police have done something off-the-wall. I sometimes say "welcome to Russia" and then they ask, why do you say that? And I respond, well every few years there making new laws right? And how many laws do you see taken off the books? Welcome to Russia

I agree with and quoting "David R" above me
"If everyone was more Christ like then we would see less and less laws needed"

Well I think it would depend on what you would want to make laws for. Like adaltery. It is legal in America and that should be changed. But there are laws that we really don't need. But always remember that the laws were made becasue people broke the law and were needed. And because of this new laws must be added at times.

If everyone was more Christ like then we would see less and less laws needed.

For the most part, No.

We need fewer.

Laws like emminent domain, see the Trans Texas Corridor, serve to deprive us of our invidivual rights for someone else idea of greater good.

Yes.

A) We still haven't really gotten it right.

B) Continuing changes in culture, technology, language, and who knows what else make the development of new laws and the changing of old laws necessary.

C) ...all of the above...

Most current law making is correcting the torts of the courts.

I think...that they need to remove or change some laws, especially those stupid ones your state makes
but they have to do something with their time...might as well make more laws
