This is to say " I was born this way so I don't have a choice "........Homosexuality is the best example I can think of, science says people are born gay and don't have a choice. My question is, if sexual preference is determined before birth then what other preferences are predetermined prior to birth? favorite color, smell, football team, sport, food, drink, car, clothes and on and on.........and if it is all determined before birth do we really have free will over our lives or are we already complete with all our likes and dislikes and don't have a choice?

I want to know everyone's predictions on what is going to happen in book 7...I have thought about it over and over and I'm just not sure what's going to happen. Give me your ideas....and also, if you do not like the Harry Potter books, please do not leave rude comments.

Yes, the obvious rebuttal to this would be to say, "But children are the future, work on them so they can grow up well and society will be better." However, I see it as more of a chicken before the egg phenomenon. It almost seems we have a majority of adults who would rather fix what's wrong with children than with themselves. But wouldn't it be better if the adults had their own interests and were secure in themselves FIRST, to set a better example for the children? I know this question is deep. I'm prepared to stand in judgement of all the soccer moms this is going to piss off, and that's ok. I genuinely want to know the different perspectives on this.

Okay, so I admit, I don't have money for a Chihuly but would love to throw a few hundred to an artist that might be doing "similar" work or is at least an established and creative glass blower.

I am 16 and Im going to go to university on Cello. I was wondering if there is a website that shows all of the pieces that individual american univerties require. I was also wondering if america is a better place than Berlin for music conservatories.

I am a teacher who directs the students in a straight (as in not musical) play. I really want to continue to learn about theater but have only found one really good sounding workshop and that is at Macomb Community College near Detroit. Has anyone attended that program or know of a program for technical theater for adults?

Over time humans have distroyed the planet, slaughtered the animals, burned the forests, and poisoned their own homes to the point where the Earth is dieing all around us. I look in disgust at humanity and what it has done to the world. Every now and then I will get an idea that seems to start taking care of the problem. Why not return to being animals ourselves? Start a small group that gradually moves back into the places that were once home. We would have no reason to kill this world or each other after doing away with money and possessions. Evil is the result of human greed and a hunger for power. Mabey evolution has actually gone too far. Perhaps we should start taking it backwards enough that we loose the deadly impact we have on the earth.
