Yes I agree with the other respondent, that if this is your homework, then perhaps you will gain more by doing it for yourself?

It is not as if you are asking some particular question that is difficult to approach, either. What you ask is readily available in many texts and sites, so get out there and get on with it!

Since this is homework you really should be doing it yourself. The type of question suggests that this is a GCSE question you are doing. You won't have Yahoo!Answers in the exam you know.

Some pointers though: Think about the political situation at the time. The Weimar Republic was on its last legs and the Three Chancellors have a lot to do with Hitler's invitation to become Chancellor in 1933. Think carefully about their actions and the actions of Hindenburg.

I am a little rusty with my history now (been 6 years since i studied it) but i do believe that Hitler was helped into power by Germany loss of World War 1.

After World War 1 many men (including Hitler himself) came back from war to find that life very difficult. There was very high levels of unemployment, hyperinflation (where lots of money buys very little and the money becomes worthless) and difficult living conditions. This resulted in much of the population being dissatisfied with the Government. Hitler started to speak to these disaffected men and talked about improving Germany to its former glory. Hitler was a great speaker and his ideas spoke to the people, leading to a rise in his popularity.

You will need to research a bit more into the details of his actually rise to power, but this gives you and idea of what it was like at the time.

Yes but you don't give any hint of what help you mean.

He was helped by the electorate. He was democratically elected.

He was helped by his party who idolized him and obeyed him without question.

He was helped by the poverty or the time so that he could offer to put things right.

He was helped by the terms of surrender from WW1 which left the Germans feeling victimised and unfairly treated.

He was helped by the German aristocracy who resented the Jews.

He was helped by the army.

He was helped by his allies, Italy and Japan.
