I bought some books at a yard sale for my little boy, rare books that I couldn't pass up. But I don't want him to touch them until I get them cleaned up. Seems like I read in a magazine years ago about putting them in a microwave, anyone heard of this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I heard of a literary genre that they call "erotic literature", a collection of short stories and poems that I personally call vague and superficial, what do you think, do you call it literature?

When my husband and I got married, we have noticed that there is not a 'formal' photo of us both together in full lentgh. We do have two seprate ones, and ones with other people next to us, but we would like to do one with just us. Is this possible, or will we have to go to a professional and get two done?

I know nothing about the geneology of my Grandfather. My family was very secretive about where we came from. His last name was Shellenbarger. Is it German? German-Jew? Something else?

I have been reading about the middle east in American, German, Brittish, Russia, to name a few western countries, So far everyone of them has invaded the middle east at some point, all for resources, and each time they were driven out. Do you think the East has a legitimate reason to hate, and a legitimate reason to fight back as fercecly as they do.

How would you describe the mood of the dr. heidegger story or the atmosphere conveyed to the reader?

What elements in the story "Dr. Heideggers Experiment" make the mood similar to or different from the mood of "The Fall of the House of Usher"?

The story was about a society where all the people who aren't mentally and physically retarded are artificially made retarded, in order to make everyone "equal". This is done by attaching weights to their bodies so they can't move easily, forcing them to wear headphones that make painfully loud noises to they can't think easily, etc. The story focused on one man and woman, and their son who is a criminal because he is incredibly handsome and intelligent. They see him on TV one night, and he breaks off all the chains that the government of the story has disabled him with, takes a ballerina who is as beautiful as he is, and begins to dance beautifully. Then some government people come on camera, shoot him and the girl, and act like it never happened. It ends with his parents not even remembering him because of the impairments the government has put on them.

The story was sad but really deep. I read it in one of the Junior Great Books. Does anyone know the name of this story??

I can't remember the whole story of Romeo and Juliet and my boyfriend said that she was and I don't think so. I think that the reason that they were forbidden to eachother was their families were feudeing families. He said no and that it was cause she was a princess and he was poor.
