Iranians still weave lovely rugs. Although there is a general intelligence in the population of modern day Iran which could produce engineers, physicists and mathematicians, the sad truth is that their religious/political leaders are set on destroying the world so that there are only a few submissive Muslims. I have a difficult time referring to their current mission as "civilized" in the way I understand the word, as a woman who enjoys having human rights.
