The easiest way is going to be to put your address in quotations (ex: "125 NE Main" ) and search it on google. If you don't get any hits on that, go to the local library and check the microfilms. These are copies of all the newspapers in the area usually dating back like 50 years (or more). If you want to know what happened more recently, just ask around the neighborhood. You would think if something like that happened, everyone would know. If all else fails, hire a psychic.

How curious,
That you even think that is strange. Your not simply asking if someone died in the house, your asking if someone was murdered.
Unquestionably the neighbors would be able to tell you. In the unlikely event there was a murder committed in the house the local police would have interviewed your nieghbors repeatedly to gathar evidence. We recently had a nieghbor die. A much older and sickly women, and the block was swarmed with police activity and emergency vehickles for hours and she died a natural death. Believe me, everybody on the block was well aware of the police presence.
Bottom line..ask the nieghbors, they'll not only know but if in fact there was a muder they will be only to glad to gossip.
