I bought some books at a yard sale for my little boy, rare books that I couldn't pass up. But I don't want him to touch them until I get them cleaned up. Seems like I read in a magazine years ago about putting them in a microwave, anyone heard of this? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I read something in a magazine one time that talked about how people check out books from the library when they are home from work or school sick and they get their germs on the books. It said to put books in the microwave for a few seconds to kill germs.
