I recall having read that only once during World War II did German and Japanese forces fight together against the Allies, and this was in Madagascar. I have just been looking for more information on this. I have found a lot about the Battle of Madagascar in 1942, but there is no mention of the Germans as participants. Was my original information correct? Were there other military engagements in Madagascar that involved both, and if so, where can I read about them? Thanks for any further information that you might give me.

I've always wanted to play the piano, but I don't have one and I don't know how to. But I can type quite fast on a QWERTY keyboard (while looking. Not that fast while not looking, and I make a lot of mistakes too). Is this an indication that I'm not going to make a good piano player? FYI, I'm already 18 and I have long fingers.

c. will one day collectively do something worthwhile?

And if you are confident, why? If you are not confident, why? In pparticular, as regards A, then what the hell is the point? (ie of everything)

I was a desert
A dark and empty desert
Where the wind blows for no one
For no one
Where dust clouds rise
Among the gloom
And bring darkness
To that lonely desert

Neither man nor beast
Dare venture there
For no bird ever sing
Nor mice ever roam
But then one day
When the sandstorms swept

An old man came
A man with a beard as white as snow
Which blew with the wind.
He came one day and
Wandered through that vast desert
And by a tree with a thousand year thirst
He sat, He sat there
He sat there for days and days
Then one day he, Awoke from his thoughts
And walked away
And as he walked from
That dry dead desert
All around
Flowers bloomed,
Birds sang,
Rivers flowed

And that tree by which he sat
Fulfilled its thirst
From the rain which fell
Enriching the dry sand
The dry sand
Which once blew up sandstorms
But now the breeze fills
Those mountains of green
Which were once sand

And that man,
Who was that man?
A priest? A saint?
No, he was a poet
