I think it was written by an ex-cop, I think the cover was red and the serial killer was weird. It was also focused on a Catholic school and the cop in the book went to the school. He would talk to the nuns and priest at the convent. Anyone help?

I believe whatever we think, do or experience is nothing but the best that we can think, perform and have in wider world around. We are either hypocrite or ignorant if we say that we have not been at our very best recently. Do we all feel that we are not being able to be what we actually can be? Do we keep ourselves waiting for our chance to be what we think we can be, or even what we believe we should be, why?

This is a really vague question and I really doubt anyone is going to be able to help me out here but I had this book in the early 1980's when I was little. It was hardback and rectangular widthways and had really beautiful colour illustrations. I can't remember if it was one long poem running through the book or lots of short ones but I can only remember mallard ducks on one page, lots of ripe cherries on another and then some long beige things hanging up outside on a line! I know that this is a really terrible description but if this rings a bell with anyone, it would be great to know what it was called. It was one of the loveliest books I had.

Hey, I have as much disregard for my neighbors as the next guy... but I can see no merit to a nihilistic mindset. In fact, isn't the very act of claiming to be nihilistic, anti-nihilistic? Not to mention, the very emotions these people deny feeling, are the emotions that led them to philosophical nihilism.

Could someone please enlighten me?
