If you just want to learn about art for pleasure, ed2go.com has a european art class, and Barnes & Noble has the book I used for my Art History class and it comes with an interactive CD and is easy to read (sorry, don't remember the name and not sure where I put it, but it was over $100 and about 10 pounds).
If you need the class for college credits, try your community college. They are not always online, but I don't think you get the full benifit for such a class online. When I took the class we went to a couple of museums, the proffesor gave slide shows, and brought in paintings. I think it would have been quite boring without the visuals. Don't cheat yourself out of the full experience.
