That is a big IF. It does not necessarily hold that knowledge leads to destruction. One might misunderstand what is knowledge. One might also argue that true knowledge does not necessarily lead to destruction. Mind you, knwledge is already there, all we are doing is descovering it. What some sick minds do with it is a totally different ball game.

Knowledge by itself doesn't cause any destruction. It is wrong or evil application of knowledge that can cause harm. On the other hand, ignorance by itself can cause destruction, damage or even disaster. Hence choosing ignorance is unwise. We need to know and be wise as well. There is no other alternative.

Nothing is good or bad. The application of it may be for a good or bad purpose. few examples being Electric current, atomic power ....and so goes with knowledge.
