I have found http://www.alibris.com/ to be very handy and they have been able to find 85% of the books I have been looking for that are out of print (haven't looked for one from the seventies though - mainly eighties here). I did not find the book you were looking for by title, but there were several results from the author with that last name. I'm not positive, but I do believe they will search for out-of-print books for you. Good luck!

Find a good old/used book store in your area. Many owners know all the books they have and if they don't have it they can keep their eye out for it or direct you somewhere you can find it. It may take a while however...
