I have tried before to take photos of my oil paintings with my digital camera, but the quality always comes out (enter obscene adjective here)! Is this due to my camera or do the other artists on the web use some other form fo recording the image (like a scanner....?) Since I am unsure whether a camera is actually used I decided to put this question in the Painting and not the photography section.

I ask on behalf of my daughter (11) who isn't allowed to roam online unsupervised. In her words;
"If you found a little hideous mutant alien child sitting on your doorstep crying, would you take it in and raise it? Would you be nice to it because it was a baby?"
(She sparked my curiosity about answers we might get.)
Please try not to be too mean; she is a kid.

This question came to me while I was listening to a history-based podcast on my iPod. Anyhoo, my question is this: do hapless monarchs or leaders deserve to be executed? They have caused economic and social disorder BUT did not deliberately oppress their subjects. I will provide three examples:

King Charles I (England) - He wanted absolute power, taxed his people without Parliamentary consent (according to Wikipedia) and irked the English by marrying a Catholic (also according to Wikipedia). He met an untimely end by having his head separated from his body, so to speak.

King Louis XVI (France) - Same thing except that prior to his reign, France was always ruled by an absolute monarch, unlike England which was a constitutional monarchy since the 13th century. Now Louis was a nice guy; he just was a weak ruler. He met the same fate as Charles.

Tsar Nicholas II (Russia) - He never wanted to be ruler but obviously felt that God gave him that right. Also was executed.

How would I go about starting a collection and where would I send them to? I understand the zippers, metal attatchments and any buttons must be removed first.
My 22 yr old son has been out of work for almost a year due to illness and back surgery, now that he can go back to work slowly, part-time with no heavy lifting, no-one will hire him because his credit has gone in the hole because of the bills he's accumulated with no insurance. He needs a project to help someone else because his self-esteem is suffering badly because of not being allowed to work. This would be a perfect way to get out with people his own age at Colleges, and such collecting jeans for Habitat. He volunteered building for them when he was in high school a few years ago too. With me being disabled and him having to move back home, maybe this would be good for the both of us.
Have you got any information for us? I think they were doing at least one building in NY in the summer of 2006

I know the phrases have different and individual interpretations, but when you put them next to one another they form an interesting question - at least I think so.

confused
a friend so near seems so far
a friend so far seems so near
a heart tells the brain what to feel
but what if the mouth intercepts?
you say what you feel but he doesn't?
the heart brakes, leaving the brain to have no one to tell them what to feel.
so it's left
confused

and tell me how it is for a 13 yr old to write that thanx
