its sometimes hard to remember someone you havent seen for years it has happen to me and some other people so why do we forget?

umm...can't remember when the last time was that this happened to me, but i am also a victim of this phenomenon...you have seen and talked to someone not very long ago..but the next time you see them you just get dizzy and many times you don't remember. One reason i think this happens, at leat with me is that may be there are a lot of people who have a similar look and you see them between intervals of time not long apart each other.
As to why we forget this way, think it is because the image of that person is not encrypted into the brain in the first encounter--may be a result of not concentrating on what we are talking at that time. And the next time you see them, you can't recall a time you saw them earlier..too weak a rememberance in our brain, i think.

I don't know. People always seem to remember me, even after forty years, in some cases.

I am a chameleon so I walk right past them. If I don't want to talk to them I don't. but I am not offended if someone doesn't remember me.

people always seem to remember me....I on the other hand am totally bad when it comes to names and faces.
