It is sad, isn't it? After all, if the perpetrators (I think we all know for whom the bell rings*), do not accept their horrible mistake, won't they be bound to repeat it in the future? In fact, aren't they doing it allready on a smaller scale with the Kurds? It is widely accepted that the subject of the massive Genocide of so many ethnicities in the Ottoman Empire in the beggining of the previous century is one of the best examples of how effective can organized propaganda be. But even if they managed to eradicate entire nations from their ancestral lands, the survivors are still out there, speaking about the terrible crimes against human kind that were commited by people who nowdays want to call themselves members of the civilized world. Even if an apology won't bring back the millions of dead, it will at least soothe the pain of these survivors, vindicating the memory of their lost ancenstors. It is necessary for the global community to apply pressure to the victimizers to finally admit their sin and pay for it.
*Hint: this nation's ancenstors lived in Altai Mountains, Lake Baikal, and the north Gobi Desert. They are believed to be of Mongol-Tatar origin. Some scholars contend that the Huns were one of the earlier tribes that this nation later descented from.

This happened 1915 to 1923. I'm not denouncing it. There are people that say that the holocost never happened. I'm sure that thru the centuries lots of history has been rewriten. What with translation from one language to another. As in the Bible. This is now. Live now. know your history but live for today. It is our job as citizens of this planet to make sure things like this don't happen again. But they will and they need to be brought to light.

I don't.
I'm fully aware Turkey wishes 2 join the EU, but so far have resisted any attempts 2 get them 2 admit their violent past.
It's another Holocaust that the world should recognise but as the US/UK wanted 2 use Turkey as a base 2 supply Planes/Munitions 4 the Iraq War, they have had a temporary reprieve.
How long it will last?
I hope not 2 long!

People deny stuff because it sometimes causes conflicts with their beliefs, sometimes political beliefs (i.e. Pres. of Iran denying the Holocaust). Sometimes, people want to cover up stuff that they don't want others to see.

You must mean denying, not denouncing.
Denying means they are saying it didn't happen.
Denouncing means they are saying it was bad.
I've heard people claim others are denying it, but I've never heard someone deny it.
Me personally, I'd denounce it! ;-)
