I figured consciencousness can only be derived from a being which created us from a part of itself who was always present (hence not existing in time). It seems to make sense I guess, I mean, why would there be an evolutionary mechanism to experience one's own consciencousness, to acknowledge one's own existence? Why not just be like robots and not have an understanding of experience or feeling and just follow the laws of science (not to say everything is governed by science, I do not believe in chance, I believe everything happens for a reason). How can one explain why we experience time, emotion, and desire? What is the purpose of experiencing time if the being who created it exists without it? How can a timeless environment exist while time does as well? Is there any logic to this? Does this lead any closer to the truth? Any resources? I am very interested, thank you.

The past doesn't "exist" any more, nor does the future exist (yet) - and since any "span" of time would have a beginning and an end - i.e., a past and a future, then the "present moment" must be a "point in time" without a beginning and an end - but how could such a timeframe exist? (I.e., the current moment isn't a span of time), and if the current moment has a span of time of "0," then "when" do we exist??

Is man's life from birth to death? Is there an afterlife? If there is, then what is it's purpose? Do we need to prepare in that life? How & what is to prepare? what's the criteria? How long is that life?
If our life is only from birth to cemetery then what a useless life!!!

Do you think Snape is evil or not? Why? Best explaination gets Best Answer (i wont go by if i agree or not just the one that makes most since).
I think that Snape is good and was told by Dumbledore to kill him. Maybe the potion that Dumbledore had Harry force feed him (that sounds mean but i dunno how else to put it) was going to slowly kill him. I dunno, but it sounds to me a little like Dumbledore told Snape to kill him if Draco couldn't, like he knew Draco couldn't but knew of the Vow Snape made with Narcissa, and that maybe Dumbledore was going to die anyway (like i said with the potion or maybe he just agree b/c he knew it had to happen).
Anyway i was just wondering what some people thought about this.

Oh and for a little more fun, whats your fav HP pairing (canon or not). (You dont have to answer this for the Best Answer)

Do you know how lucky you are to be alive at this time in history? If you are reading this you are incredibly lucky in not one but two ways.

One, the past five or six decades have been by far the most interesting stage yet in human history. More of us know more and live more comfortably and longer than at any previous time. Behind each one of us there are thousands of ancestors who were not so lucky. Most of us on this planet are still not so lucky.

Two, you are incredibly lucky to be here at all. You are the lucky winner of a race beween untold thousands of sperm cells to be the first to penetrate just one egg cell. You might just as easily have been flushed down the toilet. On top of that, you have survived to be old enough to appreciate your luck. Do you?
