Is man's life from birth to death? Is there an afterlife? If there is, then what is it's purpose? Do we need to prepare in that life? How & what is to prepare? what's the criteria? How long is that life?
If our life is only from birth to cemetery then what a useless life!!!

What people who wish for eternal mortal life fail to realize is that the fact that we all eventually die gives life meaning. a sence of something to accomplishbefore there life ends as to leave some sort of mark no matter how big or small apon the word. If we were to live forever our lifes would have little meaning and we would eventualy long for the final release that death gives us in the end. It gives us something to look back apon and know that even though we will no longer be apart of the world we did what we could to make it better. also I do belive there is a life after mortal death and that its purpose is to guide future lives in spirit by the things we did while we were still apart of it. Also to guide our families through the rest of there lives in spirit. life is what u make it to be.

Because there is something in him that urges him to long for it. This is the share of our Creator he added into us.
Preparation for the next life.
Living faithfully this life must be the preparation for it. As when we study in school - doing your lessons qualifies you for the higher class. In this treat others as our equal beings. Try to get advise of your own self.
When we call it eternity - that life needs to be unending like that of our creator.
If life is from birth to cemetery then the life is useless. So we have that longing for eternity.

I don't think we, humans in general, are not capable of wrapping our minds around the fact that we will die. Because we can't grasp that thought we must believe that there has to be something more - pick a religion. If there is an afterlife, then we should take advantage of this one and learn as much as we can. If this is all there is, then we should take advantage of what is possible. I mean, you have to live it anyway, so you might as well enjoy it.

Life itself is the reason,criteria and the purpose to live.
As long as you live it to the fullest,what does it matter how long it is.It should not matter weather there is an afterlife or not as long as you live your life to the best of your ability.

man was created with a design plan.(man did not evolve)
and that is to give glory to his creator. There is an after life, the issue is that choice to make, will iit be heaven or hell?
For heaven? surrender ur heart to jesus and yu shall obtain it, then share the bueatiful experience with other people, that way life is not useles but useful. God bless.
