I remember when I was in the 1st grade reading a story about a mouse who crawled into a mitten, and then a toad joined him. Soon a turtle, a fox, and other animals. They were using the mitten as a playroom. The mitten kept on stretching as more animals came in to play. The last one to join was a bear, and the mitten exploded buy no one was hurt. That was one of my favorite stories as a child, but I cannot remember the name of the story or the author. Does anyone know?

I am an amateur photographer, looking to enter any kind of photography contests to recieve some recognition, possibly get my name known somewhere besides my little town. Do you know of any photography contests going on that I could enter? Prefer free entries, and I can submit photos electronically or standard film.
