Leud and lasivious behaviour, public nudity, public indecency, and health code violations all in one action and you are wondering why you are considered a sex offender. Why not?
What is the difference between you and a flasher to the person passing by?
Is it fair to take things out of context? No.
Is it surprising that you can do so? No.
This is why they have lawyers, to get judges to play fair, when ridiculous penalties are suggested.
The defense should have been a fire hat to be put out or you were stung by a jellyfish, anything that make public peeing a matter of necessity.
Next time piss in your pants or find a restroom.
Meanwhile get a lawyer and talk to the judge about having the ruling expunged.

No, it doesn't mean you're a sex offender. Whoever your source is doesn't know as much as he wants you to think he does.
If you are putting this on job applications, you are just screwing yourself. The only time you need to state that is when you are registered with the state as a convicted sex offender.
If you went down to register as a sex offender at least it would give the office workers a good belly laugh for the day.

peeing in public counts as indecent exposure which is a sex offense however you only become a registered sex offender if you commit a felony sex offense violation. As long as you are not registered with the sex offender registry at your local courthouse (meaning you don't have to let them know where you live for the rest of your life and don't have a certain stipulation as to whether or not you may reside with children or the opposite sex) you legally do not have to tell your employer.

I can't believe that this is true, unless you peed in front of a bunch of kids. Otherwise it's public indecency/public urination. I swear, there really is a specific statute in my area for peeing in public. Oy..
And while I'm thinking about it, there's no way that you have to list yourself as a sex offender unless you have been CONVICTED of being a sex offender. Pissing in public does not mean you want to molest little kids, or flash your goods to kids. If that were the case, every Tom, Dick, and John would be on the registry. Seriously .. tell me one guy that hasn't whipped it out and peed on a tree, bush, dumpster, whatever. We have to squat behind bushes. :(

Yes this is true, all the people calling you a liar need to look this up. Not all states have this law, but many do. All it takes is one complaint that someone saw you, even if you were trying to hide. Once you get charged and convicted you become a sex offender.. so watch what state you piss in

That is not true in my state. Peeing outside is an infraction (sort of a citation in other states). To become a registered sex offender you must be convicted of a misdemeanor or worse of a crime involving another person

The truth is that there are a lot of stupid laws, but they are not changed because people do not pay attention to them. Actually it is not that you are pissing outside that is the problem, it is that you have to expose yourself to do it that is breaking the law.
If you want to hear a stupid law try this: In South Carolina it is illegal to get a tattoo, give a tattoo, or to own tattoo equipment, but it is not illegal to have a tattoo.
