Nibert or NiBert. Wondered if any of you may have indepth information on this name, its meanings or origins?

Braun, otoh, very common---'brown' in German language. Wondered if it just means that, "brown color"? Or does it have an older meaning to it from centuries ago?

I just saw a question asking "what is the legal age for piercing?"

What makes you decide that you must have this or that tattooed or pierced?

the hawaiian islands were made from a volcano which means that there was no life here before. so hawaiians had to have come from somewhere else. plus it wasnt just one group of settlers that were there first, there were many coming from all over.

I think that it is important for children to study history so that they can understand that it has taken a lot of hard work and effort through the works of technology to get from the past to the present day.

I asked one single question: "How much money would it take for you to kill a puppy with your bare hands?" 29/30 respondents replied that I was a sick f***. I'm glad that people have some morals.

However, how many of you people actually go out and protest wars like the unjust wars in Africa that make kids kill each other? So many innocent people die daily from wars. But you spend your time and energy complaining about one single puppy. Isn't that a little hypocritical that you can spend your energy on a puppy but not on the lives of millions?

Ethical values in the English-speaking world are screwed. We only care about stuff that is related to us and ignore issues that occur far away. We need to rethink our principles and morals to encompass all of life, not only that little puppy next door.

What makes that puppy so much more important than the child thousands of miles away? It's just that the child would require more effort to save. We pick and choose.

We can't trust the opinions of those who themselves have the power to make this debatable statement sound like a self-evident truth; they are jealous pseudo-intellectual weaklings such as Sophocles, who flamed Oedipus and Ulysses (Odysseus). When this misinterpretation is applied to someone, he was usually phony and corruptible from the beginning anyway. His ambition was never for him, as he claims to others it was, "the only practical way to get any good done." George Washington, who had the power of Hitler or Stalin within his grasp, didn't give in to the temptation. Personally, if you have people look up to you for some reason, do you really feel compelled to bully them? Another reason for this lie is if a passive coward doesn't want to follow a leader who can achieve something, he can always say that the leader will wind up a dictator.

Would that question be about your life path, education, death or dealing with grief, crime, fame and fortune, music, poetry, film or art? Would it be about love, happiness and spiritual fulfilment? Would it be about believe or fanatism? Would it be about war, violence and hunger? Would it be about respect for self and others or firmness of one's convictions? Would it be about recognising true calling? Anything but mundane questions, I need dept, and definately not the eternal 'What is the meaning of life?' or 'Are we alone in the universe?'.
