"On a level plain, simple mounds look like hills; and the insipid flatness of our present bourgeoisie is to be measured by the altitude of its 'great intellects.' "

I've been a proffessional phtographer for 2 years now but I've never worked out how apertures in camera lenses work. If I look at one of my lenses. I can see the aperture getting bigger and smaller inside when I turn the aperture ring. But how does the aperture reduce the amount of light going through the lens without 'cropping' the picture?

I am planning on writing a story (as some of you may know already) and I want to know what you all think of this idea: it's caelled Schitzo and its about a guy (or girl) who hears voices telling them to kill their family...they kill the family and end up in a asylum because everyone thinks he/she has schitzophrenia..she continues to hear voices until it finally drives him/her to commit suicide...after he/she dies, they find out that it was satan who told them to do it........

EXPLAIN THESE PLEASE: " Speech is civilization itself. The word, even the most contradictory word, preserves contact- it is in silence which isolates."

Many people often allow invalid reasons not to attend to some of the hidden skills they have, which leaves them feeling good about themselves. That one unique self and God given talent which may be hiding and a part of their beautiful personality. They may bring it out in a musical instrument and singing through correct practice. Why not try. May you be blessed further.

Most books I've seen don't fully explain terms like f-stop, ISO, and aperture, and how each changes your picture. If anything, books usually just touch on each subject, or assume you already know the definition and effect of these terms.

Photography for Dummies is not a good choice.

Most books focus on photography in general, but not specifically on taking headshots.

better to be shown around by a native than by a tour guide.. will see better things...

This question should be self explanatory.

In your personal life......

When a man sets aside his pride to let you do whatever you pleased with him, what did he allow you to do?

As a woman, are you too much to handle?

As a woman, have your fantasies been fullfilled or are you still waiting for the ultimate night when you slay a man to a point where still learning about himself?

I just read an answer where someone said this, and I wondered if it may actually be true. After all, despite the fact that liberal almost by definition means tolerant, we aren't quite so easy going with Conservatives. I guess you could even say we won't tolerate the intolerent. I don't have any sources to back this up, but it seems there are an awful lot of intolerent people in this world, a number easily as big as the number of Black people, or Muslim people or Gay people. Wouldn't then our prejudice towards them be as bad as that which we accuse them of?
