I have my own beliefs why people are subject to such disasters. It's science. It's random. It is the process of evolution, and some people live in places where disaster strikes. You wouldn't build a house on an active volcano would you? When that volcanoe erupts and destroys your village, would you say that that happened because you are sinners?

I'm just very curious as to why people believe such sensational nonsense. What drives people to surmise the reasons for a disaster to be solely the hand of the Lord?

I've tried, I've tried, lord knows I've tried. But even as an exercise in non-linear thinking, I cannot fathom the point of this book. And I'm usually pretty good at fathom-ing! If the point is that there IS no point, I find the whole thing coy and intellectually masturbatory. I know people who swear by this trilogy, but perhaps they've spent too much time bopping in and out of their own respective realities. What do YOU think?

I'm not saying live a crazy dangerous life...I'm saying why not eat what you want to eat even if it is not so great for you? Take a few chances that are within reason. So Diet Coke might be bad for you...at least you can say you can drink what you want. People die every day who are health fanatics for tons of reasons. Not worry about money so much and worry about enjoying life.

the theory or entropy, the flow or order to disorder.
to me this doesn't fit with the theory of evolution.
what are the alternitives? intellegent design? perhaps, who truly knows. perhaps we are just an alien expeirment in chaos. I don't know. I'm not going to taint the answers with what i believe because I want to try to remain open minded about this.

It's Friday night! You made it through another grueling week of work. What will or are you doing to unwind and rewind? So you think you can dance? Then dance. I'm sure you'll be great at it. At the least you'll be good. I am a secret DJ. I love music and want to relive the seventies. OOps! I want to experience the 70's.

The Death of a Friend

I found you that day, standing alone and broken by the grave of your past, and you didn’t bother smiling. I understand your pain, the blazing heartache on your sleeve. It’s no one’s fault. The universe seems to work very closely with mystery. There’s no reason for you to keep your smile hidden, I know too many people who do that. Why do you want to hide yourself behind a grave?
I’d give you my hand if I knew you’d take it. I can’t wait forever; I can’t listen to your crying no more. It’s time for me to leave your side, and if the days do not change I’ll come to you. I can’t promise to paint over your old self. My paint is all gone. You were always the kind of person who listened to my words even though I never believed in them.
Everyone clings to those damaged tears; the wetness of such tears brings nothing. Don’t place any more flowers on the grave, leave the beauteous flowers in the dark, the dark is more alive than your soul. Is that such a sad thing? I suggest that you empty all the boxes, throw away the pictures, and clean out the closest and the attic. You’ll be able to live again.
I used to stand outside next to the shingled house, waiting for your tears to dry up. Death is an adventure; will you ever venture down the road alone? One day, when the sun shines brighter, I’ll follow down the road so you can take it easy.

It was a cold, wet, night. The rain picked up and began its merciless downpour upon the miserable souls of the city.
One miserable soul that has wandered throughout the day in search for the kindness of a stranger or at least bit of parcel, was destined to meet another that night. This poor wonderer was but a child, an inocent girl who because of her ragged apperance (or more so because of the cruel and uncaring nature of the city's inhabitants) had recieved no food and no kindness that day. It was sadly expected.
As the night grew colder, and the rain picked up, the girl began a search for shelter. While ducking into the nearest allyway a very unusual sight caught her eye. Being inexperianced in life she did not understand what she was seeing.
Under a street light kneeled a man facing her, with two white, outstretched wings protruding from his back! He raised his eyes to look at her and she was not afraid. There was a silence broken by the rain as they stared at each other.

She chimes in
But is music to no ones ears
This twisted lullaby cannot pass so simply
These tangled words
These mangled meanings
They could be more true
Things are what they are
We breathe just to breathe
We live just to exist
We are just to be
