Ten Minutes After I Loved You

You seemed to be the perfect stranger.
You didn’t have candy
And didn’t ask me to your car.
Eased information into conversations
Never leaving any room for question marks.
Only exclamation points.
So when the doorbell rang
And you asked to come inside
I couldn’t tell you no.
I watched you kill

I guess I was too trusting. Too lusting
For a new life,
But maybe when you’re looking for a new beginning
You simply start your past again.

The small parts of me I hated as
You sat down on the small blue couch.
It was the only thing left from my past life.
I hated it until you sat down.
I realized I loved you…
The way you took fragments of my old memories
And turned them new,
Sat on them,
Buried them.
You motioned with your fingers
“Sit down,” you said.
I sat down
And you destroyed all the life in me

I guess I was too trusting. Too lusting

That I had always wanted to get rid of.
You took it away.
You told me I’d be yours forever.
That I would never get away.
That I was getting what I deserved.
What did you mean?
I hated you then.
I wanted you to leave.

I screamed at you.
I said I hated you
Just ten minutes after I loved you.

I have had people tell me that it is not possible for it to be even close to "real" if your eyes have not met and no words were spoken directly to eachother. How can they say that and mean it? I can see my neighbor, I can shake her hand, and we can talk up a storm but I don't feel a strong connection with this person... so is that supposed to be more "real"? Because this person is standing in front of me?

He seems to know me better than I know myself. His face is so familiar...as if we had met before. When I saw his face I looked, then I had to look again...then I went back and looked again! Studying every outline of his face trying to figure out the connection......

In my opinion, I am connected to this person on a "soul" level, which to me is more real then any stranger standing in front of me.

Anyone who sees my son is so amazed by his beautiful red hair. I constantly get asked where did his red hair come from. I get stumped because I dont know how to correctly answer them. I dont have red hair nor does his father. The only thing I know is that I and his father carry the genes to have our beautiful redheaded son. My son and I are enrolled in Mommy and Me summer school. All the other mothers ask me about his hair. Please help me. What can I say? I want to know what Im talking about.

I thought the book was very interesting and I enjoyed it. However, I am troubled by some discrepancies and variations from the Word. For instance, did not Moses have two wives? The first being Zipporra, a Midianite. His 2nd wife was the Ethiopian. Was either wife murdered? Did he (Moses) lose his children? I don't remember any of those things from the Word. It seems the author has combined two of the wives and added a little for dramatic effect.

i've always like to draw. it's been my passion. i can draw anything i want. but lately, i've been drawing less. it seems like i never have the mood to create something new. have i lost my inspiration to draw? i really don't know. i'd like to draw something but by the time i pick up my pencil, i put it back down again because i've lost the mood.
