I used to take Irish stepdancing, but I don't like it. I did cheer for a year and loved it but can't take it again. I don't want to take hip-hop. also, it can't be too expensive. Anyone have any suggestions?

I just posted a long message in another thread about all the different ways to get started in Ballroom Dancing. I don't know if that's something you would be interested in. But it might give you some ideas or leads. I'll post a link to the message. If the link doesn't work, then just look in the thread titled "Dancing Lessons?" in this Dancing section.

If you liked cheer then Jazz is probably a good option for you and a lot of jazz classes are offered with Tap as well.
Personally, I love Ballet and Lyrical dance. (though Jazz and Tap certainly top my list as well)
Find a studio that offers lots of classes and give them all a try....especially Jazz!

Soca (calypso) and Reggae are the best for me. Great exercise and lots of fun participating in cultural festivities such as Carnival and more.
