the purpose driven life

I've always read a lot and been easily influenced. A few books have altered the path of my life, quite negatively at that. The first one being, On The Road. I've traveled and meandered around the country, desperately in search of meaning and passion. I was trying to be something I'm not that had already been done. Secondly, most works by Charles Bukowski have inspired me to drink heavily, and justified my indolence. My favorite of his being, Women. Thirdly, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I had read that in highschool, and was already experimenting with drugs, but this book definitely inspired and justified my love of weirdness and decadence.

On The Road, Women, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, have all jostled the way of my life. There are many more as well, but these would have to be the main three.

I was transforming me into someone who is doesn't fits in today's materialist world. I read only two chapter and got scared and stopped. But i still remember the essence of the book. Try it out

A countless amount of books.
Jane Eyre
The Arena
The Martian Chronicles
Sweet Valley High (lol)
The Giver
Dhalgren
Gathering the Blue
Fear Street Sagas Series...lol
Whatever Happened to Lani Garver
Narnia Series
A Door Near Here
The Lovely Bones
Speak
The Remember Me Series
OOPS- I meant to name one. But mostly books that open me up to a new physcological state of mind, that open my perspective to different thoughts/emotions/ideas that I would never experience otherwise....

Her Majesty's Wizard by Christopher Stasheff.
I was younger when I read it, so I'm not sure how it would impact an older teen or 20-something, but it delves into how, at their very core, (mostly) everyone has a basic belief in God.

To Kill A Mockingbird. When I read it I was in high school, and it gave me a new understanding of some the things I had read about in history.

any book from the conversation with God series. mind blowing stuff. really hard truths to digest. and will most likely conflict with almost everything you were brought up to believe in. but it always has balance. and if you get offended....read on. you will be ultimatly surprized :) amazing
