Oftentimes, people know they don't have an ear for music, whether they play an instrument or sing and they don't want to embarrass themselve. Personally, I love to sing. When I'm in the van, whether I'm singing to something on a cd or on the radio, I have seen people drive by smiling. Crank up that music and let it all out!

We always associate time with learning to play an instrument. In our mind's eye, we think we should have started as children. The truth is now is the best time. If you are eighty three and want to learn to play the piano, you should consult a teacher.

Time is going to pass whether you embrace your dream or not. Why not capitalize on the moment?

i don't understand why either. I think everyone should at least play one instrument. It's a scientifically proven fact that children who play an instrument have a better grasp on math.
