Why is it that because it's Friday night people always feel pressured to feel like they have to "do" something. What's wrong with NOT going out and getting drunk and making a fool of yourself? Why can't we be at peace with ourselves and just stay home and read a book? (I mean "we" in the collective sense of American society)

That is such a funny question because, as we speak, my husband is trying to get me to call our friends to plan our night. I was just getting annoyed and telling him to let me relax for a minute, then I read your question. Now I'm logging off and getting my butt out of the apartment. You're right--it's Friday!!
