If I have two equally proportioned triangles (same angles, ratio of sides etc), if the area of one triangle is TWICE that of the other, what is the length of the base (S) of the large one in terms of the smaller (s).

I'm presuming triangle shape is immaterial; it's just that they're equivalent and one is 2x the area of the other; and presumably the answering equation relates to any of the sides you'd wish to compare.

The answer is S = (sqrt of 2) x s.

But how do I know this? Pls advise how I could have worked it out. I have no further data (ie about height etc).

Which is the best for a beginner? Are they all good cameras? Which would you say are the 3/4 best on the list that are better for a beginner, however wont need to be replaced for 2/3 years to come?

Ive just booked my first driving lesson and i have no idea what to expect. the guy on the phone sounded really nice and reassuring, so im not nervous about being with a stranger,but i know if i cant do it i will get angry and upset with myself. im also 23weeks pregnant, 24 by the time my lesson is here. on average how many lessons would it take to pass? just so i know! thanks in advance!

I'm planning to get a tattoo, and I notice that many tattoos in good establishments and online are very detailed. I spoke to my friend, who is a good tattoo artist, and he said although it is possible to create intricate designs, I should not trust anyone who said they would do it, because the nature of tattoos means that over time the lines will blur and the tattoo will look a mess. I plan to get an olive tree on my back, and have drawn a simple design, but would prefer more detail.
