20 years ago, I was eating at a restaurant in Camarillo,CA called Loves. My parents really liked it, I did too, until the ickiest thing happened to me. I took a sip of water, then felt something weird in my mouth. I pulled it out, and it was a cockroach! The place is no longer there; I wonder why!

Please, only Jehovah's Witness' answers.

The Watchtower tells you that Jerusalem fell to Babylon in 607 BCE. This began the start of the Gentile Times, and therefore produces the date - through some argument - of 1914 as the end of the Gentile Times.

However, all archaeological evidence and over 10,000 identified Cuneiform tablets from Mesopotamia (found in the 1950s) all put the date of the fall of Jerusalem to Babylon in 587 BCE, a full 20 years later. In fact, no scholar today would ever put the date of 607 BCE on the fall of Jerusalem when it is so certain that it could not have been this date.

Is it not true that C.T.Russell initially forgot to consider that there is no year number "0" and the 1914 date originally started with the year of the fall as 606 BCE? Only when C.T.Russell's mistake was realized, they "adjusted" the date of the fall to 607 BCE.

Why has the Watchtower gone to such great lengths to squash the understanding that the 607 BCE date is proven inaccurate?

i have him in a 40 gallon tank for now because i just purchased him two days ago. I have two ghost tubes in there and i have a huge castle that fish can go in and out of, but the BGK never leaves the inside of the castle. I also have some other plants which can serve as hiding places. I understand that he is nocturnal but the people at the pet store said that if i get the ghost tubes that he would hide in those as well. is he being over timid because he is adjusting to his new home or this there anorhter reason for his over-shyness? Any help would be useful.

In another question regarding trolling for babies this comment was made.

"I personally am against trolling for children on the internet. However, I do find it rather interesting that adoptees who use any means necessary to find their birth parents (just look at the questions in this forum) get so angry that infertile woman try any means necessary to start a family. Each one is "desperate" in their own way and we need to support each other, not chastise."

What are your thoughts? Are the means used for searching for one's biological family in the same illegal and/or ethically wrong category as trolling expectant parents for infants?

What are some good dips to go with a fruit platter?

It can't have any kind of sugar, if it's sweet it should be sweetened by fruits. (entertaining friends who don't eat sugar, but they love fruit!)
