I think around the age of 17 it's important to start political education. Nothing to major, but they should at least understand the political process and how it works. They should also have the 4 different political groups explained to them so they know who they are voting for. The 4 groups being, Liberal, Conservative, Libertarian, and Statist.

No, politics is not important to young people who are generally completely wrapped up in themselves (witness 90% of the questions on Yahoo Answers). Young people could be an extremely important and influential political element if anyone could organize and lead them. Educated youth SHOULD enter politics at some level and yes, it is very good for the development of a nation.

The nation will "develop" or change wethr or not the youth get involved. Not everyone has to vote for decisions to get involved. There hae been terrible leaders when there was a high voter turn out and terrible ones when there was a low one.
