I know this has been asked a million times before, but people keep telling me that their deity (whichever deity they choose to worship) really does exist...not like all those "other" deities.

So, anything other than "look around you"?

If my Dog wrote the Dictionary

Lead. A strap which attaches to your collar, enabling you to lead your person where you want him/her to go.

Dog Bed. Any soft, clean surface, such as the white bedspread in the guest room or the newly upholstered couch in the living room.

Drool. What you do when your persons have food and you don't. To do this properly you must sit as close as you can and look sad and let the drool fall to the floor, or better yet, on their laps.

Sniff. A social custom to use when you greet other dogs. Place your nose as close as you can to the other dog's rear end and inhale deeply; repeat several times, or until your person makes you stop.

Dustbin. A container which your neighbors put out once a week to test your ingenuity. You must stand on your hind legs and try to push the lid off with your nose. If you do it right you are rewarded with margarine wrappers to shred, beef bones to consume and mouldy crusts of bread.

Bicycles. Two-wheeled exercise machines, invented for dogs to control body fat. To get maximum aerobic benefit, you must hide behind a bush and dash out, bark loudly and run alongside for a few yards; the person then swerves and falls into the bushes, and you prance away.

Deafness. Affects dogs when their person wants them in and they want to stay out. Symptoms include staring blankly at the person, then running in the opposite direction, or lying down.

Thunder. A signal that the world is coming to an end. Humans remain amazingly calm during thunderstorms, so it is necessary to warn them of the danger by trembling uncontrollably, panting, rolling your eyes wildly, and following at their heels.

Wastebasket. A dog toy filled with paper, envelopes, and old candy wrappers. When you get bored, turn over the basket and strew the papers all over the house until your person comes home.

Sofa. A piece of furniture, to dogs as napkins are to people. After eating it is polite to run up and down the front of the sofa and wipe your whiskers clean.

Bath. This is a process by which the humans drench the floor, walls and themselves. You can help by shaking vigorously and frequently.

Lean. Every good dog's response to the command "sit!" especially if your person is dressed for an evening out. Incredibly effective before black-tie events.

Bump. The best way to get your human's attention when they are drinking a fresh cup of coffee or tea.

Goose bump. A maneuver to use as a last resort when a regular Bump doesn't get the attention you require...especially effective when combined with Sniff (See above).

Love. A feeling of intense affection, given freely and without restriction. The best way you can show your love is to wag your tail. If you're lucky, a human will love you in return.

I am doing an all county solo this coming month and part of it involves sight reading. does anyone know any good sites where i can print off sight reading music? ((preferably in an alto range and with no skips!))

Also...

any suggestions for becoming a better sight reader?

and...

there is one section in the song that goes rather high in my range and is marked fortissimo. i can barely sing it in tune, let alone that loud! any suggestions for that problem?

OK, here's the deal. I have a first date with a lady that I have gotten to know pretty quickly. She and i hit it off right to start with, seem to have a lot in common and talk comes really easy. I met her at my friend's apartment, she is her next door neighbor. So I have been to her place twice now, we sat and talked for a looooong time. Her daughter was asleep. She is new to the area, doesn't really have anyone to babysit but wants to go out with me. So I offered to take her and her daughter out for a date. I love kids and don't mind it really. But should I be a little wary that this lady is already comfortable bringing her daughter along on our date, though i am the one that suggested it. I mean most stuff I have read about single moms tell the mom to take it very slooooow when introducing their kids to a potential man in their life. So should this be a red flag to me or is it possible she feels that comfortable that fast with me?

...think that all Atheists are really searching for God and seeking his answers? If we were still looking for our own personal truth we would claim Agnosticsm. Stating ourselves as Atheists means we have come to our conclusion. Is it that upsetting to grasp the concept of Atheists being happy and content just being Atheists or will those of you continue to believe that we are lost souls searching ?

Below is some information about my computer that I got off of (www. systemrequirementslab .com /referrer /srtest). The site said that my video card can't play the game but my mother's old computer can. Can I take the video card from her old computer and put it into my laptop, which is an HP Pavilion dv6000? Her video card is a 128 MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (RADEON 9800 AGP (0x4E48)) and her old computer is a Dell Dimension 4600.

Current Video Card: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family

Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium (Build 6000)

CPU: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T5500 @ 1.66GHz

CPU Speed: 1.66 GHz Performance Rated at 3.24 GHz

System RAM: 2.0 GB

In short I want to know if I can take the video card out of my mother's computer and put it into my laptop. Can I do it myself or should I pay someone and how much would that cost? Can I also take out the RAM, CPU, or other componets and put them in my laptop?

Thank you for reading.
